Abstract

A vast majority of degrees in Information Technology are somewhat insular, and students are often not exposed to other domains that may benefit from concepts such as automation. During the Spring 2019 semester we created a joint course where IT students worked alongside Environmental Sustainability majors in creating an urban indoor farm. The results were encouraging and support future interdisciplinary collaborations.
