Abstract

This article investigates the articulations/tensions between feminist theory and psychoanalysis, discussing traditionally known women authors on gender studies in Brazil. Considering the issue of dissemination of theories, through the translation of basic and relevant texts, they focus on accidents and predicaments that invariably occur in the "travel of theories" (COSTA, 2000) to other languages, countries, continents and contexts, highliting, however, and in spite of them, the importance of translation in the dissemination and dialogue of theories. © 2010 by Revista Estudos Feministas.
