Abstract

The objective of this paper is to address the problem of selecting the most suitable team leader in a software industry using multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) method. This problem can be modelled as MCDM problem as selection of team leader may depend on various characteristics like technical competence, collaborative efficiency and innovativeness. The proposed approach is examined by an experimental study which is designed using one MCDM method fuzzy-TOPSIS (technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution), four team leaders, three selection criteria and three decision-makers. This study will provide a ranking index for the evaluation of team leaders which will aid decision-makers in the selection of most suitable team leader in software industry.
