Abstract

Studies have indicated that body dimensions differ for various populations. To determine whether there are differences in the anthropometric data of the population in Malaysia and other country, the anthropometric data of Malaysian adult were collected. This paper describes anthropometric data of 19-25 year old university students. One hundred individuals were measured - 50 female and 50 male, with ages ranging from 18 to 35 years old. A set of 27 static anthropometric measurements were obtained for each individual. Additionally, the statistical analysis carried out to the data obtained show that some statistical parameters, such as the variation and correlation coefficients, behave as expected, and as observed in other populations. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
