Abstract

Behavior refers to the observable or measurable actions or reactions of an organism (movements, physiological alterations, verbal expression, etc.) in response to a stimulus originating from its environment (Bone and Moore 2008). Animals express several types of behavior including sexual, reproductive, social (aggression, maternal relationship, etc.), activity (locomotion, feeding, defence and avoidance responses) and cognitive behaviors (attention, learning, memory) (Zala and Penn 2004). © 2011 Springer Science+Business Media, LLC.
