Some plants used in the treatment of leprosy in Africa

Abstract

34 Species of plants reported used in the treatment of leprosy in Africa are reviewed. The botanical and vernacular names, localities and comments on the plants are given. The importance of research into herbal medicine to establish the efficacy and toxicity of plants used is discussed.
