Abstract

The increased awareness of the quality requirements as a key to software project and product success makes explicit the need to include them in any software project effort estimation activity. However, the existing approaches to defining size-based effort relationships still pay insufficient attention to this need. Furthermore, existing functional size measurement methods still remain unpopular in industry. In this paper, we propose the usage of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) technique in the effort estimation for quality requirements. The paper demonstrates the applicability of the approach through a case study. © 2014 Springer International Publishing.
