The paper describes the developments of the prototype implementation of a portal 1 related to a Virtual Reality application to Molecular Science on a Grid environment, called VMSLab-G, and will describe two running virtual experiments. Some aspects related to the applications of VMSLab-G to research and education are also outlined. © Springer-Verlag 2004.
