Abstract

The relation between network software vendors and service providers is deeply changing due to a confluence of economic, market, and technological factors. Software licensing is complex and may become a hindrance to the adoption of new transformative technology. In such context both service providers and network software vendors would be well advised to bet on trustworthy partnership, promoting emergence of Software Asset Management in such environments.
