Abstract

Exactly where an individual has been is important when attempting to forensically reconstruct an incident. With the advent of portable navigation systems and mobile phones, information about where a person has been is recorded more comprehensively than ever before. This paper focuses on the data recorded by the Android TomTom Navigation Application. It also describes how mobile device usage data can assist a digital forensic practitioner in determining where the device has been.
