Abstract

As from 1848, which was the end of Restoration, until the late 19th century, the Holy See deployed a diplomatic activity that led to the signature of dozens of concordats with Latin American countries, under the pontificates of Pius IX and Leo XIII, contents of which are studied herein, as well as placing them within the historical context in which they were originated and their final destination.
