Abstract
The research program at SOREQ is devoted to the study of laser produced plasmas and laser produced shock waves. For these purposes a set of different oscillators were developed and an Nd:glass laser system was constructed. The experiments were conducted with 1. 06 mu m laser light pulses in the range of irradiances form 10**1**2 to 10**1**6W/cm**2. Subjects developed or investigated at our laboratory are reported.
