The activity of the autonomic nervous system (ANS) has been assessed with heart rate variability (HRV) and skin conductance (SC) or electrodermal activity (EDA) in many research works. From the last three decades, researchers have worked on the relationships between heart rate variability and skin conductance for different activities. The aim of this paper is to explain all possible methods which are used to analyze the variability of heart rate and skin conductance. HRV and SC are the physiological parameters that have been used for assessing body-related changes, stress, pain, depression, and in many different activities. There are many things left to know about their correlation in different activities and can be explored as a future scope.
