Abstract

Twenty-six species of fissiped carnivore (four canids, 13 mustelids, one hyaenid, four felids, and four ursids) lived in Eatern Beringia during the Pleistocene. Of these species six are extinct (one canid, one ursid, two mustelids, one hyaenid and two felids) and four (three mustelids and one felid) no longer live in the region. -from Author
