The conventional tools and methods that are used widely in software design are not adequate for expressing the complexity and flexibility of hypermedia artifacts. Visual, distributed, interconnected and knowledge dense character of hypermedia environments, require a revision over the traditional software design tools and concepts. In this work we will specify some aspects of hypermedia that are hard to be modeled with the state of the art approaches and propose some strategies that can help to overcome the problems. © Springer-Verlag 2004.
