Abstract

The vibration analysis of a production machine is a key factor of its functionality, service life and occupational safety. Simulation models are very important for dynamics analysis and its contribution to the improvement of a mechanical design and mechanism failure prevention. This paper deals with models and dynamic analyses of a multi-spindle lathe. The whole process is presented on the example of one actuator of the multi spindle automatic lathe. The analysis is based on electromechanical linear models, which are simulated using Matlab/Simulink. Models of this mechanism were validated with experimental measurements. The simulation results are used for the speed control optimization.
