Abstract

(from the chapter) there is an urgent need to place into action specific plans to achieve the long range goals of the Alzheimer's Association of reducing the duration of illness, decreasing the numbers of persons affected by Alzheimer's disease (AD), and lowering the cost of long term care / to achieve these overall objectives, the Alzheimer's Association created the Ronald and Nancy Reagan Research Institute / the specific aim of the Institute is to implement some of the goals of the 1994-1998 Strategic Plan of the Alzheimer's Association mission of the Reagan Institute / functional structure of the Institute / Drug Discovery Program / guiding principles for the formation of Drug Discovery Teams / International Society for Alzheimer's Disease Research (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2012 APA, all rights reserved)
