Abstract

For the requirement of cosmic rays detecting and high intensity pulsed radiation field diagnosing, an ultra high-speed intelligent data acquisition system (UIDAQ) without CPU and MPU is designed. The indispensable functions could be operated only by one piece of ADC and one piece of FPGA, without the accessing of the "brain" (CPU or MPU) of the whole detecting system or diagnosing system. Then the tests of indispensable functions is introduced, to confirmed that the valid signals could be distinguished and sampled with sampling rate over Gs/s by the UIDAQ system intellectively and intellectively. Including its self-regulation functions, the UIDAQ performs as the "vegetative nervous" of the whole detecting system or diagnosing system. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH.
