Abstract
Indonesia was as the seventh level as the prevalence of higher diabetes sufferer in the world. Depression is one of the big problems in psychological disruption on DM patient type 2, with prevention between 24% to 29%. If there was a depression patient, can make the patient will be careless to the doctor instruction. If the sugar level was uncontrol will increase the risk of the complication and can influence the quality of life of the diabetes sufferer. This research aimed to know the correlation between diabetes Mellitus type 2 with the depression level and life quality of the patients at RSUD Daya Makassar. The research method was non-experiment with the correlational research design, it was cross-sectional. It was kinds of research which focus on the time measurement/ observation of independent data variable and dependent only once. The sample in this research was total sampling. The research result was questionnaire as long as three times in a week, it showed that there was a correlation between diabetes mellitus type 2 with the level of depression with p=0.011, and there was a correlation between diabetes mellitus type 2 with the life quality p=0.038. It could be concluded that there was a correlation between diabetes mellitus type 2 with the level of depression and patient life quality in RSUD Daya Makassar city.
