Abstract

The emerge of artificial intelligence (AI) technology created serious challenges in the medical filed in general and neurosurgical filed in particular. AI has become a major trend to introduce into the medical industry to build auxiliary diagnosis systems or devices. There are several advantages of implementing AI in the medical practice; however, there are other serious ethical concerns should be avoided. This chapter briefly describes the specific application of AI in the auxiliary diagnosis of some cerebral vascular disorders such as intracranial aneurysms (IAs). Intracranial aneurysms are one of the most common cerebrovascular diseases, and it has a high incidence rate of about 3.2% in the general population. Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) caused by rupture of intracranial aneurysms is a disease with high disability and mortality. In cerebrovascular accidents, the risk is the third only after cerebral thrombosis and hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage. Therefore, early and accurate screening of intracranial aneurysms is of great significance. Therefore, we suggest that the implementation of AI technology in the field of cerebral vascular diseases will be of great benefits for patients.
