Preliminary data on the Heteroptera of the Peter the Great Gulf islands, Sea of Japan, Russia

Abstract

A preliminary list of 56 Heteroptera species from 24 families collected from Putyatin, Furugel’m, Russky and Popov islands of Peter the Great Bay in the Sea of Japan is presented. Two genera and two species, Cletus schmidti Kiritshenko, 1916 (Coreidae) resident of South-East Asia, and Cantao ocellatus (Thunberg, 1784) (Scutelleridae), a representative of Oriental Region, as well as two extremely rare species, Stethoconus japonicus Schumacher, 1917 (Miridae) and Leptoypha wourentausi (Lindberg, 1927) (Tingidae), previously known from South Primorye of Russia, are newly recorded for the fauna of Russia.
