Abstract

The article discusses exercises for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Topics discussed include physical activity with a lessened sensation of dyspnea being a primary goal of rehabilitation, incorporating breathing techniques in pulmonary rehabilitation, and use of diaphragmatic breathing in rehabilitation of patients with chronic lung disease or asthma. It mentions the goal of pulmonary rehabilitation exercise is to promote activities of daily living.
