Abstract

Debugging can help programmers to locate the reasons for incorrect program behaviors. The dynamic and heterogeneous characteristics of computational grid make it much harder to utilize the traditional parallel debuggers to debug grid applications for their defects in architecture. In this paper, we propose a new parallel debugging environment based on grid services, which support the information sharing and resource interoperation. Some new debugging functionalities oriented to Grid applications are appended. The architecture of the proposed debugging environment has high portability and scalability. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2006.
