Abstract

Summary: ``This is a survey of interpretations of qhypergeometric orthogonal polynomials on quantum groups. Thefirst half of the paper gives general background on Hopf algebrasand quantum groups. The emphasis in the rest of the paper is onthe {\rm SU}(2) quantum group. An interpretation of little qJacobi polynomials as matrix elements of its irreduciblerepresentations is presented.
