Abstract

The relaxation time T of an optical bistable system with multiplicative non-Gaussian and additive Gaussian noise terms is investigated. The results indicate that the decay rate of fluctuation changes from slowing down to speeding up with increasing of non-Gaussian noise correlation time s. But with increasing of the parameter q, the decay rate changes from speeding up to slowing down. The additive noise intensity D and correlation intensity λ slow down the fluctuation decay in the stationary state of the system. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2013.
