Abstract

We have reviewed the principles of person-centered planning, family-centered planning and self-determination and conducted a series of interviews with family members and individuals regarding the application of these inclusive principles in their healthcare journey. From a series of six interviews, we selected four for inclusion in this chapter: one mid-life professional with cerebral palsy, one retired professional with cerebral palsy, one sibling and one parent. These interviews were conducted over a period of 3 months and each was incorporated and edited, as it pertains to inclusive participation and healthcare options.
