Abstract

Pneumorrhachis (PR) refers to a phenomenon characterised by the presence of air within the spinal canal and is associated with different pathologies and possible pathways of air entry into the spinal canal. In this report, we present a case of elderly male diabetic admitted in our hospital with high grade fever and low backache having this rare finding, which was detected in the CT images of the spinal canal, which was advised to evaluate the cause of severe pain and associated paraspinal tenderness.
