Throughout this study, the processes of scientific evaluation in the discipline of High Capabilities and Over-gifting in Spain will be guided, between 1986 and 2017. On the one hand, an analysis of this discipline will be established, considering different variables concerning this topic of interest. This investigation of variables will allow to know different institutional, pedagogical and psychological aspects that intervene in the development of the subject. This scientific study is defined in four well-differentiated sections, in which, different aspects related to the thesis extracted through the TESEO database will be investigated, which allow revealing data such as: the various diachronic and longitudinal productions; the production of universities and their departments; the production of the thesis directors, in addition to their gender and the relationship between the authors of the thesis and the directors thereof; the impact of doctoral theses according to the number of citations in Google Scholar, in addition to their production in this database and in the ISOC database; the study of content based on descriptors given and inferred; and a narrative presentation of the results. To achieve the objectives set, the entire production of the time series will be analyzed for years.
