Abstract

In this paper, an adaptive Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) with Repetitive (RP) control is applied to Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. The RP controller with forgetting parameters is used to attenuate the effects of periodic disturbances. In order to achieve an output signal with law Total Harmonic Distortion (TDH), the parameters of RP controller should be tuned excellent. In the paper, using genetic algorithms optimization, these parameters are optimal tuned. Simulation results of the closed-loop system with proposed controller reveal the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
