Synthesis of some cobaloxime derivatives

Abstract

This experiment was carried out tosynthase some cobaloxime derivatives. The experiment was divided into two parts. In the first part dibromo (dimethylglyoximato) cobalt (III) was synthesised. Second part of the experiment was carried out by synthesising bromo (4-tert-butylpyridine) cobaloxime. The final product of the first part was greenmicrocrystalline and it was characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and Infa-red spectroscopy. The final greenmicrocrystalline product from the first part was used in the second part to synthesise bromo (4-tert-butylpyridine) cobaloxime and the final product in this part was brown microcrystallineand it was characterized by 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectroscopy.
