Abstract

The carotid-carotid bypass via a retropharyngeal tunnel enables treating proximal occlusions. With reference to two clinical cases, we present a technique that consists of transposition of one of the carotid arteries to contralateral position, avoiding simultaneous clamping of both carotids. © 2012 Society for Vascular Surgery.
