Abstract

In this paper, the design of Fuzzy Sliding Mode Control (FSMC) baaed on Genetic Algorithms (GAs) is studied. Using the proposed approach, a robust controller is designed for building structures under earthquake excitation. It is found that the building structure under the proposed control method could sustain in safety and stability when the system is subjected to external disturbances.
