Abstract

This chapter summarizes the findings of the research and provides suggestions and recommendations for supporting, nurturing, and educating young transgender students. These yield from both previous studies as well as from the research partners themselves. The chapter provides specific advice for teachers, students, and administrators with regard to creating well-prepared, safe, early childhood education spaces for trans children (that are also sites of advocacy and activism). While their suggestions varied from person to person, the research partners all expressed the urgent need for learning environments that affirm the true identities of young trans students.
