This is a review of the monograph Translanguaging in EFL contexts: A call for change by Michael Rabbidge. The book delves into translanguaging practices in an unexplored context: South Korean English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classes through the examination of translanguaging strategies, as well as South Korean teachers' perspectives on the use of their linguistic repertoire shaped by their life experience in their country affected by globalization and neoliberalism. It argues that the transformative nature of translanguaging is possible only when both teachers and students are allowed to use their full linguistic repertoire in EFL classrooms.
