Abstract

The first-instar nymph and the adult female of Kermes echinatus Balachowsky (Hemiptera, Coccoidea, Kermesidae) are described and illustrated. This species is compared with K. vermilio Planchon, a morphologically similar species known in the Palaeractic region. © Malkie Spodek, Yair Ben-Dov.
