Abstract

This paper uses content analysis method to sample and analyze the microblog text with the theme of “Yangzhou Sanwan Wetland Park” to investigate the characteristics and differences of Internet users in urban public space governance issues. The results show that: there are differences in gender and certification status of Internet users’ cognition of Sanwan Wetland Park, and men pay more attention to “landscape”, “function” and “traffic convenience” Women pay more attention to the “environment” issues and show more sensibility. Authenticated users often have more forwarding, comments and comments, so their views show strong infectivity, which can be known and spread by other Microblog users, become the opinion leaders in fact, and is the bridge between managers and the public. There are four stages of Internet public opinion on urban governance issues, namely, initial stage, agglomeration stage, upsurge stage and recession stage. The participants of public space governance issues are accustomed to using mobile clients to publish complex Microblogs, while the participants of computer clients are more inclined to publish simple text versions of Microblogs, which is worth further study.
