Abstract

In this essay we try to emphasize the potential of phenomenology of life in the openness of a system of values and principles for an environmental ethics. The work focuses on the ethical relevancy of the 'bios' within the unfolding of the original concept of "ontopoiesis of life" that has been imposed by Anna-Teresa Tymieniecka in her phenomenological vision upon the "logos of life", by integrating all its manifestations from natural/vital stage to the creative human condition. We identify an important contribution based on the onto-ethical dimension of phenomenology of life which is worth to be explored in an extended repertory of an ethics centered on the 'bios'. Thus, we follow to analyze the virtualities of Tymieniecka's philosophy in comprehending the status of human being to care and enrich a necessary wisdom of living grounded on a real 'love of life' / 'biophilia', eventually.
