The aim of this research was to evaluate the effect of the essential oil of Peperomia dolabriformis and mindfulness meditation on levels of anxiety and academic stress. An experimental pretest and posttest study was conducted with a sample of 55 participants, divided into a control group and three experimental groups. Anxiety levels were assessed using the STAI questionnaire and academic stress using the IEA inventory. The levels of anxiety and stress showed a reduction with statistically significant differences (p <0.05). D scores indicated that the effect size was the greatest when aromatherapy and meditation are used together.
