Abstract

Two new species of Tethya (Porifera, Demospongiae), T. novaecaledoniae n. sp. and T. levii n. sp., on specimens collected in deep waters (240-460 m) along the coasts of New Caledonia, are described. Internal buds are present in T. levii .
