Abstract

Survivability and infectivity of porcine epidemic diarrhea virus within complete feed was tested in the presence or absence of a dry lactic acidbased feed acidifier product (Guardicate) at levels of 0.75%, 1.0%, or 1.5%. The virus was inactivated, and contaminated feed did not cause infection at all three inclusion rates.
