Study on mutual transformation characteristics between paddy field and dry land in Jilin Province from 1986 to 2008

Abstract

With the support of RS and GIS, this paper obtained four scenes (1986, 1995, 2000, 2008) land use data, and from three respects (total trend, mutual transformation difference, spatial pattern), analyzed mutual transformation characteristics between paddy field and dry land in Jilin Province from 1986 to 2008. The result showed that: (1) From 1986 to 2008, paddy field and dry land increased significantly and the increasing extent of paddy field was wider than dry land. The area of paddy field was 28.1×10 4 hm 2 in 1986 and increased to 32.3×10 4 hm 2 in 2008. (2) The total quantity trend of paddy field and dry land had significant stage difference. The exploitation scale of dry land enlarged obviously and paddy field was occupied by other land use types continuously. (3) In different period, the mutual transformation characteristics between paddy field and dry land had great difference. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH.
