ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan social loafing terhadap perilaku prososial. Hipotesis yang diajukan pada penelitian ini adalah terdapat peranan social loafing terhadap perilaku prososial pada buruh perusahaan air mineral X. Subjek pada penelitian ini berjumlah 60 orang. Adapun teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner yang terdiri dari skala social loafing dan perilaku prososial. Berdasarkan hasil uji normalitas nilai signifikansi untuk skala social loafing bernilai 0,183 (>0,05) dan perilaku prososial bernilai 0,200 (>0,05) yang berarti sebaran data berdistribusi normal. Hasil uji linearitas untuk skala social loafing dan perilaku prososial bernilai 0,044 (<0,05), analisis ini menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel penelitian memiliki hubungan yang linier. Hasil uji regresi linier sederhana menemukan terdapat peranan social loafing terhadap perilaku prososial dengan diperoleh t hitung (-2,030) > t table (2,002). Dari analisis data didapatkan persamaan regresi Y’ = 136,210 + (-0,138x), dengan demikian terdapat peranan negativ social loafing dengan perilaku prososial dengan asumsi semakin tinggi social loafing maka semakin rendah perilaku prososial. Sumbangan social loafing terhadap perilaku prososial adalah sebesar 6,6% sedangkan 93,4 % sisanya sumbangan dari faktor lain social loafing. Kata Kunci: Social loafing , Perilaku prososial, Buruh ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to find out the role of social loafing towards prosocial behavior. The hypothesis proposed in this study was that there was a role of social loafing towards prosocial behavior in the employees of mineral water company X. The subjects in this study were 60 people, selected using random sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires consisting of the social loafing scale and prosocial behavior scale. Based on the results of the normality test, the significance value for the scale of social loafing was 0.183 (> 0.05), and the scale of prosocial behavior 0.200 (> 0.05), which meant that the data were distributed normally. The result of linearity test for the scales of social loafing and prosocial behavior was 0.044 (<0.05), indicating that the two variables had a linear correlation. The results of simple linear regression test showed that there was a role of social loafing towards prosocial behavior with the t count > t table (-2.030 > 2.002). The regression obtained from the data analysis was the regression equation Y' = 136.210 + (-0.138x), and thus there was a negative role of social loafing towards prosocial behavior with the assumption that the higher the social loafing, the lower the prosocial behavior. The contribution of social loafing to prosocial behavior was 6.6% while the remaining 93.4% was from other factors. Keywords: social loafing, prosocial behavior, employees
