This paper outlines a newly implemented multidisciplinary program in power and energy. The program's goal is to create more engineers with power and energy backgrounds in order to address national and industry needs. The paper also outlines several of the challenges that have been faced in implementing such a program across disciplines and departments. © 2012 American Society for Engineering Education.
