Abstract

Currently there is a number of EU-funded projects that include the development of an agriculture-related training curriculum as one of their core activities, as well as an additional number of such projects that have already developed related content collections. However, in most cases, this content is not easily available through any mean of access, such as a portal, a course management platform or a website. This paper presents the development of the Organic.Balkanet training curriculum, describing the use of metadata for the annotation of the training material through the use of a course management platform. It also provides an overview on the issues that were met during the metadata annotation process, including the manual translation of these metadata in the languages of the project. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.
