Abstract

Cybersecurity and information technology students need to learn the formal models and methods of security risk assessments. What are the principles of security risk assessments? How are the national standards of security risk assessments and compliance defined? What set of security risk assessments should student learn and how? What kinds of case-based projects should be designed to promote learning of security risk assessment skills? This lightning talk discusses these and other questions. The presentation provides demonstrations of practical hands-on case-based projects for teaching and learning security risk assessments.
