Abstract

This chapter reviews several experimental methods to measure the temporal duration of sub-femtosecond pulses, either isolated or in the form of trains. Two classes of techniques, developed over the last few years, are presented in this chapter. The first is based on cross-correlation measurements between the extreme ultraviolet (XUV) pulse and the infrared (IR) driving pulse, the other is based on nonlinear effects induced by the attosecond XUV pulses. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2013.
