Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present a low cost system that can be adapted to different infusion devices. A laboratory test device is presented. The paper offers technical details about the sensor acquisition process using an ARDUINO UNO® board and the infusion process performed with a syringe actuation device. Several tests were carried out using a simple and adaptable virtual instrument created in Lab- VIEW®. Experiments involved a pulse sensor to test the viability of the solution. The applicability of this technical solution can be found in various fields of applications - medicine, engineering, chemistry, biology, food processing.
