Abstract

Flash applications are widespread on the Internet, whether used for streaming audio and video or for interactive games. Its critical perception regarding accessibility is partly unjustified, as judging accessible Flash an oxymoron has become obsolete. In fact, it is possible to enable people with special needs to profit from interactive Flash applications. This paper demonstrates the creation of such an accessible Flash application for both blind and sighted users. © 2008 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
