The disciple who performed in the best way the phenomenological method proposed by Husserl was Edith Stein in the first part of her research regarding the human being pinpointing the role of empathy and the meaning of intersubjectivity. Most important is her analysis on the human associations: community, society and the state, affirming the centrality of community if properly realized. It is at the basis of the state and founds the ethical life.
