Abstract

An analytical integration of Bethe-Bloch equation is applied to provide the residual energy E(z), the stopping power S(z) = dE/dz and the evaluation of the multiple scatter theory of Molière. The influence of multiple scatter of collimators is considered as a second proton source. © 2009 Springer-Verlag.
